Our Family is beyond grateful for the Amazing doctors and staff of MedVet Silicon Valley. They treated us so kind and were very empathetic during a scary time. We almost lost our little boy Grizzly to a genetic breathing issue. The MEDVET Team came through, the gentleman who ran outside to pick up Grizzly, the receptionist, the rep who discussed payment options, the Doctor, the team who discharged him, the staff who complimented how adorable our baby is and even the security guard. This is a LONG overdue review, but after 10 months of treatment from Dr. Wegner-Clemens and the neurology team, my girl Charlie has “graduated” today from her cytarabine treatments, and is very happy, healthy, and able to walk!!! Last April, after visiting another emergency vet closer to us, we left confused and concerned as Charlie was unable to use her hind legs. She was given pain medication and told to rest, though her x-ray was fine. We called around the bay to see a neurologist, and found Dr. Wegner-Clemens who was able to see her ASAP. He diagnosed my poor girl with Myelitis through an MRI and spinal fluid analysis and started treatment right away. That day was so emotional for us, and EVERYONE at MedVet was so caring, attentive, and supportive through it. Throughout this almost year-long journey, I have always walked out of each treatment day feeling that Charlie was well cared for and even loved there. Every team member was friendly, clear, and helpful. And Dr. Wegner-Clemens gave me a call literally every treatment to explain and give updates. I seriously don’t know how to thank any of them.. except write this review! Because of the care every single person gave my girl, she is able to walk and play and be the happy pup she has always been! It was a hard journey for her, but it all paid off and I could really see her progress after each treatment. A few months ago she started trying to do zoomies again, something I thought would never happen. I am soooo beyond grateful to the team at MedVet! If your baby has something wrong, know that they will be so well cared for here, from the front desk and all the way back to the treatment space, every single time. "It’s not wrong to consider letting him go today." I heard this 5 times from different ER doctors/technicians. Despite the grim outlook, I chose to give my baby a chance. After a $15k bill and 5 days of intensive care, he is finally stable enough to come home. My dog, Toffee, is being treated for hepatic lymphoma. This 1-star review is specifically for our second oncologist, Dr. Sessaly N. Reich. Dr. Reich, if you are reading this, I hope you take this constructive feedback seriously: 1. Cancer relapse evolves in days, not weeks. Dogmatism and rigid scheduling caused us to miss the golden window for a rescue protocol. 2. Communication regarding availability is vital. If you are unavailable for 8 days to offer oncology advice, patients need a proactive heads-up so they can seek urgent care elsewhere. The Timeline of Negligence: Feb 23: Ultrasound confirmed cancer relapse. I was told: "Discuss with Dr. Reich at your Feb 26 appointment." Feb 26: MedVet called last minute to reschedule to March 5 because the doctor was sick. Even though I reported Toffee’s decreased appetite, I was told he couldn't be seen earlier and to "go through ER if needed." March 1-2: Toffee collapsed and was diagnosed with sepsis. He was hospitalized for 3 days. While he stabilized, the focus remained on "more exams" (another ultrasound) rather than starting a rescue treatment. March 3: After waiting in the lobby for 5 hours for an oncologist who never showed, I took matters into my own hands. I transferred Toffee to SAGE Campbell. Within 30 minutes, SAGE authorized Elspar. March 5 (Today): Toffee responded well to the Elspar at SAGE and is finally coming home. The Contrast in Care: In December 2025, Toffee’s first oncologist (who I won’t name here out of respect) acted differently. Before we even had a definitive confirmation of cancer, she insisted: "I don’t want to miss the golden window. We should start Elspar ASAP; the risk is low even if it’s not cancer." Because of her decisiveness, Toffee went into remission by the end of December. Toffee has aggressive cancer, but that is not an excuse for a lack of urgency or clinical proactiveness. If I hadn't moved him to SAGE, he might not be here today. MedVet’s oncology department failed to provide the timely specialist guidance a critical patient requires.

I'm so grateful that MedVet is available to help people like myself who have a need for emergency medical services after my granpup Duke jumped out of my moving car to go after a squirrel. He broke his leg in two places and hopefully he will be able to run again and chase critters again. Many thanks to all of the staff and surgeons at this hospital. Peace

Was in the area when my baby Grizzly started having a a really difficult time breathing, foaming out of the mouth and uncontrollable bowel movements. We took him to MedVet Silicon Valley. The MedVet team wasted no time as soon as I pulled up a tech ran out and carried my baby to the back. When I saw that I knew my baby was in good hands! A little while later we got put in a private room and was given an update on Grizzly and discussed payment options. The price was reasonable and service was amazing from beginning to end. I wish I would have remembered all there names but im pretty sure no matter who cares for you baby at MedVet you'll get the same service!! We love and thank your whole crew for keeping my baby Grizzly alive!!
