Back in January we came to VEG because my dog Packer had a blockage. He needed major surgery and had 1.5ft of his intestines removed. Dr Gonzalez and his incredible team worked on Packer for over 5 hours and the surgery was a success! I was able to stay with him the entire time, often spending hours laying with him in pen while he slept. Everyone was so kind and attentive not only to Packer but to me as well. I was able to be involved in care and certain procedures, mostly just to keep him calm and offer comfort. It's March now so his recovery has taken quite a bit of time and we're still on that road, but his life was saved by the people at VEG. I am thankful for them every single day that I get to keep hugging my boy. I would like to thank all the doctors that oversaw and cared for him during his stay: Dr Gonzalez, Dr Rothstein, Dr Lynch, Dr Dunn, Dr Lobana, Dr Nardella, Dr Abedelhadi, Dr Winter, Dr Desai, and Dr Rodriguez. I would also like to thank ALL of the nurses and CEC's that made his stay as comfortable as possible, especially, Julie, Joe, Alex, Robert, Tatiana, Jess, and Mel to name a few. Everyone was absolutely incredible. They even gave him a red carpet exit when he left 🥹

We've had 2 excellent experiences with the staff at VEG CLIFTON. 2 separate experiences with great outcomes. The doctors and support staff are all amazing. They all care so much about helping these animals and putting their owners at ease all while keeping them informed about each step of treatment. Dr. Lynch and Dr. Lobana both remembered me this last Friday when another of our cats was transferred to their facility for the care she needed and needed it quickly. Also kudos to Hannah Kim, Jodi and Julie who handle the front desk and check everyone in and handle the discharges.

I can’t recommend VEG highly enough. This past winter I called them in a panicking over my dog ingesting chocolate from my son’s gingerbread house. Over the phone they calculated the weight and how much she ate and were able to put my mind at ease without charging me. They told me she should be okay but I could always come in if I was still worried. Fast forward to this morning my dog woke with a ruptured anal gland any my vet was closed due to the snow. I knew it needed it to be cleaned and would also need antibiotics. This is the second time for our poor girl. I called VEG again and asked if they could help me and the doctor immediately got on the phone. He sent me a link to pre register her. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a warm staff. They evaluated her, allowed us to sit on couches to calm my poor dog’s anxiety and were quick with a treatment plan. The cost was more than the vet would be but not outrageous. It was worth every penny. They gave me pain meds, antibiotics and wet pads for the drive home. Detailed instructions and so much kindness! Thank you Dr Milano! Thank you Maria&Jess, Ariel &Hannah We hope not to be back, but glad to know you will always be there for our Chewy ❤️

My dog Ella was recently diagnosed with pyometra and needed emergency surgery, and I can honestly say this has been one of the most emotional experiences of my life. The team at VEG ER in Clifton carried us through it with compassion, reassurance, and extraordinary care, for both my dog and for me. From the very first phone call, they helped calm my anxiety and made me feel like we weren’t alone. But I especially need to thank Rob, one of the nurses. I don’t even have the words to describe how grateful I am for him. He was there every single second for Ella, treating her as if she were his own. My dog is reactive and cautious with strangers, yet she absolutely adored him, to the point where she cried when he left the room. Watching him work with her, with so much patience, love, and genuine kindness, was incredible. He was truly God sent in this moment and made this impossible experience bearable. He deserves his own review, his own recognition, and all the thanks in the world. I would also like to thank Dr. Lynch, who explained everything thoroughly and clearly, while still showing so much warmth. She didn’t just talk about surgery, she knelt down and loved on my girl right away. Ella felt calm with her, and that told me everything I needed to know. And Dr. Pentavalli was wonderful from the very beginning. She was the first doctor to see Ella and helped me understand what was happening when I was terrified and overwhelmed. She was kind, informative, and patient, and I will always be grateful for that. Lastly, the entire staff deserves recognition. Everyone we met, from the doctors and techs to the wonderful front desk team, was compassionate and understanding. They didn’t just care for my dog; they cared for me, too. A special thank you to Ariel at the front desk. She was amazing and helped keep me calm through everything with her kindness and reassuring words, and that meant more than she knows. Had to bring my baby Chewie in because he was having bladder issues. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. They were quick, efficient and all so kind. The whole staff was very attentive and great with my dog even tho he was very nervous. The doctor explained every step and the diagnostics in great detail. Dr. Susie was empathetic but also very professional. The facility itself was very clean and welcoming. I usually don’t write good reviews but this place was exceptional ! Thank you all!!
