Grateful Ocean Avenue Veterinary Hospital The service from all the staff was great. Many thanks to Dr. Kim. 👍👍👍👍👍 My cat injured its hind leg in an accident. I went to the animal hospital for help. The front desk staff quickly arranged for a veterinarian to examine the injury. My cat needs five stitches, and I need to come back 14 days later to have the stitches removed. Throughout the entire process, the service attitude of all the staff was excellent. I was very satisfied with the professional service and explanation of the veterinarian. My cat has recovered. Thank you again! DR. Kim only ( Wednesday and Thursday ) work . 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Front desk support is amazing, warm, efficient, well organised. Vet services?Absolute shite. Revolving door of vets. Vets have no idea about the dog they are treating. Consistently ask me what meds my pup is on and what dosage, does she have any existing conditions? Do they not have records? Do they not read the records? Wait times have become ridiculous—45 minutes for a simple blood pressure reading. No one listens. No one reads. Take your dollars elsewhere—the care has to be better. I read all the reviews and the negative ones all ring true with my experience with our 13yo dog. Used to be good care when we first came here about 3 years ago but just gone downhill.

LOOKING for a Pet Hospital? Here it is! My 18 1/2 year old half Min Pin half Chihuahua, was very sick and I needed a vet on a Sunday! I’m in Daly City and Ocean Avenue is only a few stops away. I called but they were on the phone so didn’t pick up. I kept calling other vets trying to find an appt. They let me know they were open and ready to help. I called back and got an appt. Got parking right in front. Waiting room is clean and spacious. A flat screen plays a movie to keep you occupied. The staff and kind and helpful. Three receptionists working to keep the flow going. The nurse and doctor put me at ease right away. Patient and kind. Even offering bottled water. Doctor listened and gave me advise. After the exam the nurse came and explained the statement and offered options. My favorite was the liquid antibiotic AND offering me Probiotics for Lucy. Update: Lucy is back to normal. Her sick poop is back to normal, she is eating and walking around like before. The office also texted me to check on her progress.

Our experience at Ocean Ave Vet has been fantastic each time we've taken our 10 year old dog there. All of the staff we've interacted with have been wonderful - they are patient, provide various options for care, and even check in on our pup after his visits. For our first visit, the vet who saw him came in for his follow up visit, even though it was her day off, to check on him. Plus, their hours and availability are better than most other offices.

While we appreciated how quickly they triaged our dog, they then proceeded to charge my wife $555 for an exam and x-rays to verify that he swallowed a foreign object (which they then said was confirmed), only to then tell her AFTER there was no one on staff who could do an endoscopy. She had to call around numerous other Bay Area ERs to find someone who could do the procedure, and many of those ERs were asking, "Why are you calling and not the other vet?" When she finally got to a place down in San Jose that could do it, they said the x-rays were such poor quality that they had to redo them anyway, and didn't even see the object. I would not bring our dog here again.
