This is a fantastic place. They saved my little cockatoos life. My little cockatoo,Coco, was throwing up water and was very lethargic one morning. She also wouldn't eat. I immediately called and they were able to see Coco that afternoon. This was going to be our first visit at this practice. We saw Dr. Lathan. She was fantastic. Knew exactly what to do. Her "bedside manner" was soothing and kind and Coco loved her immediately. Turns out that Coco had eaten a piece of metal and after tests came back, she was diagnosed with zinc poisoning. Dr. Lathan was amazing it. She knew exactly what to do. After 5 weeks of excellent care from Dr.Lathan and the staff , Coco recovered. What I love about this clinic is that everyone worked together so well. They certainly work together as a team. The office staff and vet techs made phone calls to help us find a special medicine that Coco needed. They showed compassion and really cared about Coco. Everyone there is very knowledgeable, efficient, and most of all very kind. They helped keep me calm because I was a mess with worry. Dr. Lathan, like I mentioned before, was wonderful. She included me and explained everything to me and I was able to be with Coco the whole time. She took time with us and didn't rush us through. I knew Coco was in good hands because metal poisoning is very serious and she was very sick. I will forever be grateful that they took such good care of us and that I still have my little Coco.

Dr. Lathan and her entire team deserve every star and then some. From the moment we walked in, we felt heard, respected, and most importantly like Molly Madona truly mattered. Molly was our soul dog, and receiving a cancer diagnosis was absolutely heartbreaking. But every time we had a question or a fear, this team met us with compassion and real information. Dr. Lathan promised us transparency from day one, and she delivered that every single step of the way. Molly was spoiled with so much love every time she was there and she loved them right back. You could feel it. We had to let our girl cross the rainbow bridge on May 21st. At that final appointment, as we made the hardest decision of our lives, Dr. Lathan got down on her knees to look my son in the eyes and tell him what a wonderful pet parent he was and what an honor it had been to care for Molly. I will never forget that moment. This team is everything. Professional, warm, and so deeply human. They made one of the scariest journeys of our lives feel a little less scary, and we are forever grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🐾

I had an excellent experience today at Whole Pet Veterinary Hospital!! My team for my dog Skip was Dr. Lathan, Tech- Angel, and Vanessa. I was really impressed with Angel and how well he interacted with my dog. Angel and Dr. Lathan worked so well together as a team, that my dog did not misbehave. They were able to get bloodwork and do his examination today. Angel background working with dogs and knowing their behavior is definitely a big factor in my dog’s visit today. My team today listen and answered all my questions. Great job!!!

Today Selah saw Dr. Lathan at Whole Pet Veterinary Hospital South Charlotte. As always, our experience was awesome. I can’t say enough how much I love Dr. Lathan! This is my second bunny she has seen as our veterinarian. Angel helped to assist Dr. Lathan and was also wonderful!!! Love him as well! I am so thankful to have him be a part of this practice. Every time I come for an appointment I know that they love my bunny and want to help her have the best life possible. Thank you for your genuine care and for the fact that I leave there feeling your compassion and concern always. Thank you for not treating us like “just another customer”, but for genuinely caring. If you are looking for an exotic vet, you will not be disappointed by this practice. Even the girls at the front – Vanessa, Karena and Kimberly are equally as caring and wonderful. I am very thankful to have care for my bunny and a relationship that I cherish. All exotic vets are expensive but just wish it could be a little less. The quality of care is excellent!

My pups have been going to Dr Lathan for over 4 years now! Angel was our tech this past time and he is wonderful! He is knowledgeable and had a very good energy with my blind and deaf dog who is very squirmy and hard to hold. Whole pets is all around the best!
