Never again- this is a true review and anyone is welcome to contact me. Our dog passed away yesterday, and after years of being patients at this so-called animal hospital, that loss made something painfully clear: they were never available when our dogs were actually sick. Both of our dogs were patients here for years, and we spent a significant amount of money on routine visits, bloodwork, and X-rays. Because this clinic did not have appointment availability for sick dogs, we were repeatedly forced to seek emergency care instead, which resulted in extremely high and avoidable expenses. Every time I called seeking an appointment for a sick dog, we were told to go to emergency care. Appointments were only offered for well checkups, often three or four days out—an unreasonable timeline when a pet is ill. Emergency care absolutely has its place, and we understand when true emergencies require it. But a primary veterinary practice should make time for sick patients. In our experience, this practice never did. The day before our dog died, I called asking for an appointment and was once again redirected to the ER. That moment confirmed what we had already experienced repeatedly: this clinic does not provide timely or consistent care when it matters most. A veterinary hospital should be there for your pet beyond routine testing and wellness visits. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate care for a sick pet.

They expect a cat should stay calm while they do their work otherwise they want to make him sleep… also they didn’t give even simple eye drop for my cat because they couldn’t check him so my boy stay sick for 3-4 days because of them … when we go to other doctor they also couldnt check my boy but at least they give the eye drop for him and he got fixed right away. Beside all those things i stay in line about 80 minutes to shoe my boy to the doctor but doctor send us back to home .. I hate from their doctor also do not send text messages or e mail to me i dont wanna see anything about you anymore…. It’s my worse vet experience in my life

i had extreme difficulty with my cat and trying to get him out of the vet after his appointment. he was terribly behaved and couldn’t even get checked, and it was so stressful and i was so emotional, but all of the employees: the nurse, the doctor, and the front desk staff were so, so sweet, so kind and supportive. they reassured me the whole way and helped me out with my cat as best they could (he really was being crazy!) thank you all so much who helped me with my cat Jude and I’m so so grateful you guys were as kind and helpful as you were. that assistance really meant the world to me and i’d definitely recommend this location to other cat owners. thank you once again ❤️

We can’t recommend VCA in Miami Beach highly enough. The staff was so professional and compassionate with our senior dog,Toto who had multiple chronic illnesses. We’re now taking our new puppy to VCA and are fortunate to receive the same high quality care with her.

Nov 14th 2014 my dog Baggio was poisoned on Miami Beach along with 4 other dogs that same weekend! 2 survived my boy being one of them. They later tested and found it was Strychnine that poisoned all the dogs. The VCA Alton RD help tremendously in saving my dogs life after having multiple seizures. He’s now 12 years old and a very healthy and happy dog. Also, he had cannabis in his system cause I smoke regularly. I feel that also helped with the help of GOD and the VCA. It was a Saturday 6am were he had his first seizure and I carried him from 9th ocean dr to 5th Euclid while he popped and peed himself while in and out of seizing, I was thinking he was dying. Once in the apartment he was lifeless and tongue black. I rushed out to Euclid 5th and stopped the first car I saw, it was an Angel disguised as women in an old beat up minivan. She drove us to the VCA which she knew of, as she prayed while driving his tongue started to show color a little. It was a true miracle right before my eyes! I can’t thank the staff and Dr enough it was a sat morning and now around 7am when I was smashing on your windows to see if they were open and luckily one of the nurses had arrived early. Baggio
