I wanted to write this review not only for Dr. Dery, the amazing neurologist who took care of my cat after she had a stroke, but also for the staff - specifically Stephanie (one of the Client Care Management team members) and Monserrat, who was a blessing during this stressful time. My 18 year old cat had a stroke last month and after taking her to the ER that night and then her regular vet the next morning, I brought her to South Bay ACCESS for full testing and treatment. Dr. Dery was great, she spent time going through everything and explaining different options. She didn't rush through any of the appointments and was very nice. I was of course incredibly stressed out and worried for my cat, but they took fantastic care of her. They were super communicative the entire time, allowed me to visit her during her stay and were very sweet and caring. I 100% recommend this place. Thank you to ACCESS for saving my cat and being so compassionate and understanding!!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Our puppy digested medication that was intended for humans. He was very ill and within hours they had stabilized our puppy and he was able to go home. They were very professional, communicative, and caring. Two thumbs up and four paws!

ACCESS SOUTH BAY SAVED OUR CAT'S LIFE. After our cat sitter gave our cat 10x his dose of insulin while we were out of town, we instructed her to take him to Access. We called ahead to Access and the team was ready for his arrival. The team went above and beyond and truly saved our cat's life. We felt completely helpless but their entire team immediately stepped in with compassion, urgency, and expertise. The doctors called us multiple times throughout the day and we also received text updates that kept us calm and reassured. Every single person we interacted with was kind, understanding, and incredibly informative. It's clear that everyone there genuinely loves what they do and cares deeply for the pets they serve. We are endlessly grateful to Access for giving our cat the care he needed and helping him pull through such a scary situation. We cannot thank them enough! Highly recommend!

I don’t understand why this place is not 5 stars ! This is my second time there ( unfortunately) ! They took my dog so fast! All the staff members are super extra nice and friendly! Ive never been treated in anywhere else like that ! The doctor is super sweet and didn’t try to lie to get more money like all others places do ! They made my day and saved my poor girl! Thank you very much for everything! I will totally recommend this place !

I've had to take my dog to ACCESS many times, sometimes through emergency medicine, but also for specialists checkups. It is not a perfect place and when your pet is critically ill, it is never a fun time. Vet care is expensive EVERYWHERE, sadly. However overall I have been gratified to have such a great animal specialist hospital so close to me in the South Bay. I have been especially grateful to Dr. Zimmerman in Cardiology for her excellent care, as I credit her for how well my almost 14 year old dog is doing with mitral valve disease. Her vet techs and staff are also the best I've met at ACCESS. Could not say the same for all of the specialist vet techs there, especially in Internal Medicine although Dr. Townsell is also an excellent Internal Medicine vet. For Neurology, I would highly recommend the Veterinary Neurology group in Tustin, Dr.Clarissa Robles. She is excellent and kind, as opposed to Dr. Burkland at ACCESS, although I see they have another neurologist on staff there now. The front desk support staff are overall efficient and kind, although a few could show more compassion during emergencies.
