I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible staff at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospitals - Los Angeles. I can't imagine how challenging it must be to operate a 24-hour emergency animal hospital, caring for people's beloved pets at all hours, but I am so grateful that a place like this exists. We are cat (and iguana!) owners, so we are in absolutely no way equipped to care for a dog—let alone a large, beautiful Argentine Dogo that we found wandering our neighborhood after the Fourth of July fireworks. She had no collar or identification. Someone suggested taking her to an emergency veterinary hospital to see if she was microchipped, and thank goodness we did. The team at ACCESS quickly scanned her and found a chip. They provided just enough information—the dog's name (Prosecco), microchip number, breed, and the owner's first name and last initial—to help us safely track down her family while still protecting the owner's privacy. What impressed me even more was the kindness and compassion the staff showed throughout the entire experience. They helped calm Prosecco, loosened the makeshift collar we had fashioned for her, and even sent us home with dog food, a bowl, poop bags, and a potty pad so we could comfortably care for her until we found her owner. Less than 24 hours after finding Prosecco, we were able to reunite her with her family. Thanks to the information ACCESS provided, I was able to verify I was returning her to the correct owner, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. Thank you to everyone at ACCESS for your professionalism, compassion, and generosity. You didn't just care for an animal—you helped reunite a beloved family member with the people who love her. Los Angeles is incredibly fortunate to have an emergency veterinary team like yours.

Thank you for taking care of my bunny when he was desperately in need! If you're the parent of a bunny, you know just how stressful it is to find out that your local vet is currently booked and unavailable especially when you need to see them for an emergency. I called about 6 different hospitals asking if they had a vet specializing in rabbit care and was referred out to Access. I live in the valley so Culver City wasn't an ideal commute, but when I spoke on the phone with their team, they said they would be able to call a vet in to care for Jameson because of the emergency need. So we drove all the way out there just because they were gracious enough to have someone available! Parking is located on the rooftop and is FREE! Thank goodness for that. The facility is located on the first floor and they'll direct you to the correct group. Mine was for exotic and aviary. They were able to see Jameson quite urgently and it wasn't too busy for a Saturday. I mean god bless them for even being available on a Saturday! After taking the initial vitals and information, we met with Dr. Callie and the nurse (sorry, blanking on the name) and were informed that he had mild GI stasis and they were able to treat him there. After about half an hour, we were done and ready to go back home. The fees were around $450 for the exam, medication, and treatment, but you can't put a price tag on saving your pet's life. I'm so grateful for the help and am glad to know that if he's ever in need, I can count on the team to help! They were kind, professional, and very informative from start to finish. I hope that I will never have to come back here but know I can trust them to take good care of Jameson. Thank you!!

I transferred to the exotics department with my bird after a stressful night hospitalized elsewhere. The reception team was wonderful throughout my visit and addressed all my billing questions. The doctor’s assistant that took us back and did the initial triage was patient and helpful when it came to explaining the estimate once it was created. Dr. Yashar was so knowledgeable and took the time to explain what was going on with my pet and what we could expect with her future health. She was frank with me and didn’t try to push unnecessary treatment. Though I didn’t get good news, I appreciate everyone who treated sweet Luna during her visit. Overall, it was an amazing team on 6/2/26, thank you again.

We found ACCESS when our rabbit Dumbo got sick about 18 months ago, as it was the closest exotic animal facility to us in Culver City. We’re so glad we did though. Every time we’ve been in there the team is so great top to bottom. From the reception to the vets to the techs; all amazing. We just had to take him in for his final visit… but the team was wonderful and empathetic and very clear with how the process would go and what to expect at each step. It’s a nice clean environment as well with a nice courtyard view situation while you’re waiting. We would recommend ACCESS to anyone near Culver City with exotic pets!

Access was very attentive to my dog’s needs. They got her in quickly when she urgently needed IV fluids and medication due to severe gastroenteritis, and they kept us well informed the entire time. While she was hospitalized for two days, they provided frequent updates and called us with detailed information about her condition and care. Admitting a beloved pet to the ICU is never easy, but the team made the experience a little bit easier. I felt confident that the staff was doing everything possible to take the best care of my sweet girl. The doctors were very knowledgeable and always explained what they planned to do beforehand, which provided great transparency and helped calm our nerves! Now my sweet girl is finally back to her normal self 🩷
