My dog is a patient of Dr Hedden and when my dog was not herself, we called central animal hospital and were able to get her in for an appointment the next day (they actually had a cancellation and could have seen her that day, but we were not available at the time to bring her in) Although I had suspicions she (my dog) had something caught in her throat, over the phone the symptoms I described made the doctor think it could possibly be kennel cough, but after bringing her in and upon further assessment, Dr Hedden was concerned it was something more and wanted to have lab work, and XRay for further evaluation and diagnosis. Because she had not eaten or drank over the past day+, she was showing signs of dehydration and needed IV fluids as well. She was “hospitalized” for the morning and afternoon with the previously mentioned tests and IV fluids and results came back with pancreatitis. She’s now home with us, still not fully recovered (this all took place on Monday/Tuesday, and it is now Thursday), but at least she is excited for walks again, eating/drinking, and pooping! Her energy levels are still low, but she is still going through her course of GI meds and anti-nausea meds. I’m so grateful for the staff and doctors who took care of my dog with prompt treatment and with the wonderful care they provided!

Always happy with the folks here at Central! I've worked in vet med since 2007, but I needed a new GP for my pets when I moved to the area since I work for a specialist who doesn't offer GP services. My dog has had a set of rather vague and nonspecific signs going on this year. Dr. Yanik has always taken the time to go over my options, make sure we're moving forward with testing that makes sense and I can afford, and let me know when it was time to see a specialist since whatever is going on with my dog isn't fitting into any particular box. Communication in person, over the phone, and via email is always detailed. The office also squeezed us in for a same-day drop off when my dog had a more urgent issue pop up. Also, Dr. Middleton was the doctor for my mother in law's elderly labrador and he was always so kind and realistic about how much we might be able to do to continue giving him a good quality of life. When it came time to say goodbye, the euthanasia was handled with compassion and we really felt like Dr. Middleton loved our Charlie too.

We have been using Central Animal Hospital for over fourty years. The Doctors and Vet Aids have cared for all of our cats and dogs at one time or another. Other members of the family also used Central for their pets. I would recommend Central to anyone needing a Vet. The only issue I have is sometimes it is a little hard to get out of the parking lot, but it is worth the effort. These are my babies Dante, Freya, and Chloe, I could never be without a kitty. And, Central Animal Hospital has always cared for them from the time we adopted them.

I have been going to Central Animal Hospital for about 18 years. Everyone who works here is so kind and caring. I love Dr Hedden as she has been our primary doctor. All the staff are wonderful. I can't imagine ever going anywhere else.
