We are currently in care at HEAL for our 10-year-old dog, Sam, who was diagnosed with transitional cell carcinoma. I can’t say enough about Dr. Nick Szigetvari and his team. They are simply stellar. Dr. Nick provides clear, straightforward information with genuine compassion. This has meant everything during this incredibly difficult time. His team has met me with patience and kindness every step of the way. When Sam experienced a urinary blockage, HEAL quickly guided us through our options and once we determined a direction together, they connected us with an experienced specialist for an urgent procedure. That moment showed us how strongly they advocate for their patients. As we continue this journey, I feel fully informed in every decision. Their expertise, honesty, and guidance have made an unimaginably hard situation more manageable, and I will be forever grateful.

We always felt informed and supported in making decisions, which meant so much during such a difficult time. Beyond his expertise, he is genuinely compassionate and caring—something that really stood out to our family. The entire staff was also amazing. Mimi was…let’s just say a bit “spicy,” and they handled her with so much patience, kindness, and skill. It was clear they not only knew what they were doing, but truly cared. When Mimi started declining quickly, they went out of their way to squeeze us in, which we will never forget. That level of responsiveness and empathy made an incredibly hard situation just a little bit easier. We highly recommend HEAL to any pet owner needing oncology care.
