I have great confidence in the Bird and Exotic Clinic of Seattle. Dr. Bennett is thoughtful and caring. I always feel like my beloved pet is getting the best care possible when I take her to the clinic. The staff is great. They are respectful of my time and the stress that a visit to the vet can cause my parrot and myself. Cezar and I highly recommend Dr. Bennett and her clinic.

I have nothing but great things to say about bird & exotic clinic. I’ve been coming here for 8 years, and even after moving further away, I continue to come here because when you find a place where you feel safe bringing your babies you can’t give that up. Dr. Bennett is so knowledgeable, professional and kind. Not to mention so patient even when I have a million questions. I always feel validated, listened to, and never rushed. All the other staff from the assistants to the people at the front desk have always treated me and my birdies with the utmost kindness, friendliness and professionalism. Thank you for keeping my girls healthy and happy!

Do not trust this clinic with your exotic pets. To anyone who has had a questionable experience with Bird and Exotic Vet Clinic of Seattle: I urge you to report this clinic to the Washington State Veterinary Licensing Board. They need to be investigated for negligence and malpractice. I took my ADV+ Bearded Dragon to Bird and Exotic Vet Clinic of Seattle for years while he was healthy, and always received routine care without issue. When he began showing symptoms that I later learned, after his passing, were caused by fatty liver disease, the veterinarians were far from proactive and did virtually nothing to meaningfully address my growing concerns. Eventually, my dragon required surgery, including a tail amputation and toe amputation. The clinic did not provide me with a clear understanding of the risks of anesthesia, especially for reptiles in general and even more so for any with suspected or undiagnosed liver disease a well‑known risk of ADV. After his death and necropsy, we discovered he had fatty liver disease, which made it extremely difficult for him to recover from anesthesia. Dr. Bennett told me, “There was very little they could have done or tested to be aware that he was having an issue with his liver.” At the time, grieving, I took that at face value. Later, after another vet clinic reviewed photos of my animal’s condition, they noted that the yellowing and paling gums I had repeatedly pointed out to Bird and Exotic were classic indicators of liver problems and that they would have been much more cautious about surgery and anesthesia. Dr. Bennett is unfocused and incapable of providing proper, attentive care to the patients she takes on. If your animal has any complex or chronic condition, trust that from day one they will dismiss or downplay warning signs rather than take them seriously. The clinic also promised they would not charge me for the necropsy, then still billed it to my account. It took multiple phone calls and a fight with the clinic to get them to drop that charge despite their own promise. They also inappropriately billed my account and added service charges before sending it to collections, without clearly notifying me that those charges would be applied simply because I was trying to negotiate and address the billing concerns.When I finally spoke with Dr. Bennett on the phone, she was belligerent, rude, and disrespectful. I met her with the same energy because no grieving owner should be treated that way after losing a companion animal. When I raised these issues again regarding how my animal was cared for and how I was billed, Dr. Bennett told me the matter was closed because they had already sent it to collections. In her own words: “I consider the matter closed as I don’t want to do anything about it.” This attitude of indifference and hostility toward a grieving pet owner is unacceptable. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS, YOUR PEACE OF MIND AND YOUR WALLET.

The staff is friendly and efficient! My appointment for my rabbit was quick and easy. I felt like Dr. Dan was thorough making sure any concerns were addressed along with telling me his observations during the exam. I believe Shoagie saw Dr. Bennett last year, and she was also incredible. Thanks for being here, I feel assured my bun's in good hands with this team 💜
