We have two Great Danes in our household. Knowing the high stakes of Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV) also called bloat in Great Danes, I didn't hesitate when our older dane started dry heaving and foaming at the mouth after eating dinner. I rushed him to BluePearl Pet Hospital within 30 minutes of symptoms, bringing his daughter along to keep her calm and safe. There I was, with 300+ pounds of dogs in a pet ER at 10pm at night. The staff was incredible. They stabilized him immediately, confirmed the bloat, and called in a surgeon for a lifesaving procedure that was done in the middle of the night. Their quick action and constant communication made all the difference. He is now home, recovering well, and heading back in next week for a check up and to get his staples removed. The cost was expensive, but it was a price we were willing to pay for our house pony. The Blue Pearl team was on their A game for us that night. We thank you more than you know. Wonderful service!! From reception to the techs to the vets. This is the best care I have ever had for my pet in an urgent care. Highly recommend the Spring location. They send updates by text messages besides just phone calls and even provide a picture of your baby. My Beagle was in the best hands and was treated with very conservative measures first. I'm so thankful that they removed a bale of hay, lol, grass that would not digest from his tummy. He's on the road to recovery. Thank you!!!

This is from an event that happened August 10th, 2025. I was waiting to share to see if what happened still bothered me and well it does. I called blue pearl around 4 pm on that Sunday afternoon letting them know that I needed help. My black lab was giving birth and we had already had 2 losses. I asked how much this was as I didn’t even know she was pregnant.. if you have a lab maybe you’d understand. My girl Willow Grace LOVES TO EAT.. so I just assumed she was always begging. Regardless they told me it was gonna be $220 but to go ahead and bring her in. In the mist of that call we had our first baby that made it. We later named him Sonny. I remember getting there and being so scared Willow had been showing signs of labor since 10 am and didn’t have her first baby until 3:30 in the afternoon. Cass or Cassandra was our vet tech that evening. We get there around 5:30/6 that evening. It was a Sunday our options were slim but I couldn’t stand the thought of losing anymore babies. Cass looks at me and immediately is like you do realize bringing her here has restarted her whole labor. We will have to wait until she is having the next one and here is a door bell to click when she is birthing one. I let her know that the person on the phone had told me to bring her in. Explained the losses and that this is the first time a dog myself or family owned that got pregnant. That Willow and Leo have been together since 15 weeks old and this was the first time she’s gotten pregnant. At this point we had lost 3 babies and only had Sonny. The next boy comes and they bring him some where get him all cleaned up and tied up then put him in with his brother in the hot dog machine they have. It’s a heater since they can not regulate their temps yet. I was eventually approved for care credit and after 2 hours said for them to go ahead and xray Willow to see how many were left. By 12 pm everyone was born. 4 boys total. Cass let us know that even though they are all here does not mean they are going to make it. She said by the looks of it Willow wasn’t going to breast feed these babies and we would be up every two hours for feeds and stimulating them to go potty. She was very blunt and negative and had zero compassion or sense of how to inform got to even take care of them. She made it seem like we were wasting her time. Well yes I know I should’ve gotten my girl fixed. But I think after the year/day I had more compassion and grace should’ve been given. Especially after the cost was $531. Here are some pictures of our boys who are now 10 weeks old and thriving. Sonny has a minor cleft pallet and an under bite. They are Goldadors- golden retriever labs mixes.

Amazing animal hospital! Human hospitals could learn a few things. They take such good care of your pets. My cat had surgery and had to stay. They texted me twice a day with updates including photos of TommyCat! They even set up a laptop so he could watch cartoons! In a human hospital, you can hardly get a nurse or aid to get the remote for you! Doctors and all staff are very professional, polite and really care! Plus, it’s really clean. A little cold in waiting areas, but they provide blankets!

Brought my 90# dog in for an emergency leg injury. Thought she had tripped in a hole at a park and had broken her lower leg. Seen immediately and they quickly diagnosed it was a snakebite causing the pain and inability to walk. Dr Rushing and Dr Gardner treated her and did bloodwork to confirm the diagnosis. The care was excellent and treatment is working. I'm happy to report that Zola is recovering well and is pretty close to back to normal already. Dr Rushing was very good. She explained everything quickly and easily and was very kind in dealing with both Zola and me. Thank you for your gentle care and professional service.
