UPDATE (January 2026):
In December 2025, Dr. Impellizeri administered the first of several planned rounds of immunotherapy to my cat. He told me that advanced diagnostic testing (PARR + Flow Cytometry) would guide treatment decisions.
After accepting approximately $9,000 in payment, I was told the results were “inconclusive” and that he could no longer manage her case without a definitive diagnosis — despite my cat having a prior surgical biopsy confirming lymphoma.
What I learned only after contacting the testing lab directly:
• The test was downgraded to PARR-only due to insufficient cells
• The lab refunded the clinic for the downgraded testing
• I was not informed of the downgrade
• My written questions about this have gone unanswered
No formal transition plan was provided, and multiple requests for complete medical records have gone unanswered.

Original review (Dec 2025)
I sought out Dr. Impellizeri for a second opinion on my cat’s late stage refractory GI lymphoma, specifically for his expertise in immunotherapy. I really appreciated how easy it was to get an appointment and start treatment. I felt hopeful after my initial meeting with Dr. Impellizeri, however the communication since (paying for the procedure) has been very disappointing and left me feeling unsupported during a critical time.
Key issues:
- Lack of Pre-Procedure Counseling: Critical prognostic concerns (the doctor's 'bad feeling' about the outcome) were only shared AFTER the expensive procedure was performed, not during the consultation phase when I could have weighed the risks vs. benefits.
- Poor Follow-Up: After paying a significant sum for treatment, I found it extremely difficult to get answers to my questions. Emails went unanswered for days, leaving me in limbo regarding time-sensitive decisions for my pet's care.
- Rushed Experience: I was only allowed to talk to the doctor after her procedure and was assured that my questions would be answered. However, the doctor took a call mid-conversation and I was essentially ushered out feeling unclear of next steps. I was told to email my questions, only to be met with silence.
If you are looking for a highly communicative partner for complex cancer care, be prepared to advocate very hard for yourself here. The technology is advanced, but the client support did not match the price point or the urgency of the diagnosis.

Formal Complaint Regarding Emotional Abuse and Exploitation of a Vulnerable Client
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally file a complaint against Dr. Impellizeri regarding his conduct toward my daughter, Diane, during the treatment of her cat, Luca.
My daughter brought her severely ill cat to Dr. Impellizeri seeking a second opinion and possible treatment for late-stage refractory gastrointestinal lymphoma. She was emotionally fragile, heartbroken, and desperate to help her beloved pet. Dr. Impellizeri was fully aware of Luca’s diagnosis and prognosis at the time of the initial consultation.
Despite this, he proceeded with an expensive procedure without clearly and honestly communicating his serious concerns about the likelihood of success. Only after my daughter had paid a large sum of money and the procedure had been completed did he express that he had a “bad feeling” and that there was essentially nothing more he could do.
This failure to provide full and honest information upfront deprived my daughter of the ability to make an informed decision. In my view, this constitutes an abuse of her emotional vulnerability and a serious breach of professional responsibility. A physician—whether treating humans or animals—has an ethical obligation to communicate prognosis clearly before accepting payment for invasive or costly treatments.
Additionally, after payment was made, my daughter experienced poor communication and lack of follow-up. Her emails went unanswered for days during a critical time, leaving her distressed, confused, and unsupported. When she was finally able to speak with the doctor after the procedure, the interaction was rushed and dismissive. He took a phone call mid-conversation and ended the discussion without addressing her concerns or providing clear next steps.
My daughter left this experience feeling emotionally manipulated, dismissed, and deeply traumatized at an already devastating time.
Because Dr. Impellizeri did not provide adequate informed consent, failed to complete meaningful treatment, and did not provide appropriate follow-up care or communication, I am formally requesting that the money paid by my daughter, Diane, be reimbursed immediately.
This complaint is made not only to seek resolution, but to ensure that other families are not subjected to similar emotional harm during moments of vulnerability and grief.
Sincerely,
Maria Molina
Mother of Diane
(on behalf of Luca)

I am extremely grateful to this veterinary team for the care, honesty, and compassion they have showed my dog during her cancer treatment. From the beginning, they took the time to explain every option clearly, answered all my questions, and truly listened to my concerns.
After treatment, my dog’s lymph nodes reduced significantly and she started feeling like herself again, more comfortable, breathing better, and with improved energy. The staff closely monitored her response, adjusted care thoughtfully, and never pushed treatment without explaining risks and benefits.
What stood out the most was their empathy. They have treated my dog as if she were their own and treated me with respect and understanding during a very stressful time. I felt supported, informed, and never alone in making difficult decisions.
I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly dedicated veterinary care.
