The staff here are phenomenal, I cannot say enough kind things about how we have been treated this past month at the absolute lowest time in our lives. On January 26 we rushed our sweet boy Timber here at 10pm. He was quickly and kindly scooped out of my arms and escorted into the back to be seen immediately after just a few questions. His spleen had ruptured and they had to perform surgery immediately; they did absolutely everything they could to save my boy and gave me two more loving weeks with him before his cancer diagnosis caused him to leave this world far too soon. I returned to green acres to have him laid to rest and the staff cried with us as we said goodbye. I felt at peace knowing they would treat him and his remains with care and respect. When I recieved his ashes back I cried at how beautiful and touching their presentation was. They truly care here and it shows in everything they do. I cannot say enough thank you’s to this entire staff from front desk, to vet tech, to vet. Timber is deeply missed every single day but it brings me comfort knowing he was so well taken care of in his last few weeks.

Green Acres saved my dog, Moncho. My husky got into my other dog’s anxiety medication and ate about 40 pills. I truly didn’t think he was going to make it. He spent four days and four nights in the ICU there, and the staff and doctors were absolutely amazing every step of the way. They never seemed annoyed by my constant calls. In fact, they called me regularly with updates. They were in constant communication with poison control to guide them through safely treating the toxicity. They also understood this would be expensive and discussed cost-saving options with me — without me even asking. When it comes to my dogs, I’ll pay whatever it takes, but that meant so much to me. I’ll be honest — I was scared to bring my dog there after reading some reviews. But my experience was completely different. Losing a pet or seeing them sick is heartbreaking, and I think sometimes reviews are written from a place of fear, grief, or frustration. What I saw were doctors, techs and even the workers at the front , who truly care about animals and chose this field because they love them. I truly didn’t think my dog would ever come home — but he did. And now he’s back to his normal self. I 100% recommend Green Acres if your pet is sick. Thank you to the entire staff and doctors — especially Dr. Harick — for saving my boy and taking such incredible care of him. We are forever grateful for you staff 💛

Our ten year old 200 pound English Mastiff was having a medical emergency last Saturday and all of the emergency vets where we live in Rochester were full and turned us away. Several people recommended Green Acres so we made the hour drive down the thruway for help. Unfortunately Sammie had to be euthanized, which was devastating to our family who loved her so much. Fortunately for us we were assisted by the most caring staff at Green Acres. Patricia and Nyla at the front desk were kind and compassionate. Pat went out of her way to help us and I cannot thank her enough. Dr Reeder, who treated Sammie, was incredible and compassionate as he guided us through the process. The staff waited an extra hour for my kids to drive in from Rochester so they could also say goodbye and did everything they could to make us comfortable and feel at home. I highly recommend Green Acres if your pet is having an emergency. Thank you Dr Reeder, Pat and Nyla for helping us through an incredibly difficult day. It is appreciated more than you will ever know.

We brought our pup Borealis here after I got home from work and saw that he had gotten into my jewelry and I couldn’t find 4 of my earrings. I was really hoping he hadn’t eaten them, but unfortunately after X-rays he most definitely did. Along with a plethora of other jewelry that I wasn’t even aware he ate 😵‍💫 Needless to say I was panicked. All of the vet staff was incredibly understanding and the doctor explained all of our options to us as we were hoping we wouldn’t need surgery. Unfortunately my Bo wasn’t passing any of the large pieces and the doctor and I agreed surgery was the best and safest option. As endoscopy could cause further damage with the type of earrings he ate. Today we brought my bubba Bo home and I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience here. Every tech and doctor we spoke with while he was admitted was so kind and gave very detailed updates which we appreciated so much. No one ever wants their pet to end up in the emergency clinic but these things sometimes happen, and I couldn’t recommend this er clinic more. You all made my worst nightmare much more manageable and saved my Borealis(now aka pirate as he really did earn that nickname lol) ❤️ Thank you again for all that you do 🫶🏻

I am so grateful for the incredible care my pup received at this emergency vet hospital after he got into some chocolate cake. The staff acted quickly, calmly, and with so much compassion. They explained everything clearly, were so reasonable throughout the process, and treated my dog like their own. I couldn’t have asked for a better team during such a scary moment.
