Words cannot express how grateful I am for the staff here. You saved my cat Rocky’s life! I want to thank the wonderful nurses, technicians, and Dr Lim and Dr Southen and anyone else that was a part of Rocky’s time in the ICU/ER. I wish I knew everyone’s names. Rocky was brought to Tufts for advanced oxygen therapy after being treated at VEG Shrewsbury. They were wonderful there too but ultimately didn’t have the robust treatment that Rocky needed. He was in very critical condition. And I was terrified of losing him. In total, Rocky was at Tufts for 8 days. And he spent around 3 days on a ventilator. Throughout the time he was there, I was given updates via phone and was allowed to come and visit him each day he was there. Everyone was so kind and understanding of how delicate the situation was. And I also appreciate the nurses that put together fun headpieces for his eyes while he was on the ventilator. That was so cute. His recovery was truly miraculous, and I am eternally grateful for the staff that did everything they could to get him better. Not once did I feel like they were giving up on him. But they were very transparent about how costly and futile the treatments may be. Rocky is a fighter and he survived this. He is now at home, understandably sleepy, but he is purring, eating, and getting back to his normal sweet self. He is so happy to be back home. And so am I. As much as I appreciated the wonderful staff (including the front desk staff) at Tufts, it’s nice to not have to drive over there today to visit Rocky. He will be back for a check up but I am confident that he will continue to recover well at home. Thank you all again so much for saving my cat’s life. I just hope you know how incredibly grateful I am!

Todd’s Channel

Our Dog Ariel was in bad shape she had ingested a piece of corn cob which was lodged in her intestine for what turned out to be several months. Ariel was in need of emergency surgery. At 12:30 A.M. Dr Ojeda was woken up and called in from home to perform the surgery. The surgery took several hours to complete the result was nothing short of amazing. Ariel received loving care while in recovery. We are grateful for the care she received and want to say thank you to Dr. Ojeda and all of the staff at Cummings. See attached a photo of our Ariel who wanted to send her love and say thank you.

Alexa Nadeau

I brought my German Shepherd, Enzo, to the ER on Christmas Eve for emergency surgery. The staff and OR team at Tufts were truly exceptional. They saved my boy’s life and took incredible care of him every step of the way. I am forever grateful to the entire Tufts team. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Their facilities are beautiful and spotless, and everyone we encountered was compassionate, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable.

Oh, how we wish they had routine veterinary care for our precious animals!!! We have taken our Boxers there for the past two decades for various surgeries and dermatology care by “Dr. MK” who is absolutely exceptional! She sent our Arnie to heaven this weekend with pretty paws, as she solved his chronic, severe bacterial podofurunculosis, atopic dermatitis and Otitis external…. She’s a genius! We shall miss seeing her! Arnie's unexpected end-of-life care at the Tufts Emergency Department was exceptional, too! We miss our beautiful boy, but we know how well he was cared for by everyone at Tufts/Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine! Thank you to all of you! ❤️ Caroline & Rich Derby Longmeadow, MA
