Love everything about this place! From the service, how much all employees there from vets to the front desk just love animals. Switching to Riser was the best decision I ever made! My pets love Dr. Wardisani! Every interaction with either of my dogs you can just see pure love! It literally makes my heart so happy my dogs are in such great care! Thank you to everyone at Riser!

I've been taking my older dog to Riser as early as 2016. All have been great experiences and always convenient. We now have a 2nd dog and my first experience was HORRIBLE. I informed them that she is more vocal, and a little scared. First attempt of interacting with the assistant my dog did a small growl. Immediately they wanted to muzzle her, which I was okay with for everyone's safety. When Dr. Sachen came in, not once did she attempt to interact with my dog and even opted out of doing blood work herself. We had to come back and we agreed to muzzle her again. Dr. Peterson and the vet techs interacted with her and made the experience more pleasant. The muzzle was removed by one of the techs with no incident because they trusted she's not aggressive. Dr. Sachen was pushing for my dog to be sedated in order to do any other testing when my dog never showed any aggressiveness towards her. Sedation was pushed so much that I took my dog to a new vet, where I mentioned the experience and told them it was okay to use the muzzle. My dog did not need to be muzzled, or sedated and the tech and the new Vet were able to pet her and made her comfortable. If you have a pitbull maybe Dr. Sachen might not be the one to schedule with. Dr. Peterson was my next choice, or Dr. S.

All staff are super nice and knowledgable; they explained things in detail and layed out next steps clearly. All the exams and procedures were done with us in the room so we were able to help relax our dog and felt she was safe. The environment was pleasant and clean. Highly recommended.

Do not bring your animals here. My Husky, Ash, died within two hours of being discharged from a dental cleaning at Riser Animal Hospital. When he got home, he showed signs of abnormal breathing and when we called the clinic expressing concerns about this, they said that’s a side effect from the anesthesia and he just needs to rest. Then his tongue turned blue and we rushed him to the emergency vet and he died in the car on the way there. The next day when we spoke with the veterinarian who did the procedure, she told us she had to leave the clinic early that day for an issue with her child, so after Ash’s procedure, she injected him with something to expedite him waking up for an earlier discharge. Then she left the clinic and he was under no direct supervision of veterinarian during his recovery. This was pure negligence. I understand personal emergencies can arise, but when lives are at stake, you must have procedures in place to ensure pets receive thorough care and monitoring, even if it means having another veterinarian on call come take over when you have to leave. He was perfectly healthy before the procedure. Their staff clearly made an error during the teeth cleaning that caused internal damage in his lungs. Then, they didn’t even properly monitor him following the procedure in his recovery to notice something was wrong. When I asked if they had checked his lungs upon discharge or during his recovery, her response was that she didn’t know. Ash was a loving member of our family and it breaks my heart the way he died due to this animal hospitals negligence. I can’t help but think that his death could have been prevented if we had brought him somewhere else for a teeth cleaning that is competent. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE. This place should be shut down.
