I did not get the pleasure of meeting or speaking with anyone at this facility, but my husband did. Every single report I got from him was amazing, the doctors and nurses were helpful, informative and kept him updated through the surgery. Someone helped lift my dog up into the car and helped load him into his bed which prevented stitch tearing. After care instructions were amazing and easy to follow. He has healed much better than he has from any other surgery, and it has only been a week. If you have a significant medical issue with your animal or a mysterious one (like the tumbleweed they found in mine) I would highly recommend working with this facility. 10/10. Thank you Dr. Smith and the phenomenal staff that you have. Mossberg and the family appreciate it more than words can express.

This Vet Clinic cares more about the money they can get from you in your time of need and distress than about the service they provide. I highly caution people from signing anything at the CSU Vet Clinic without reading it very carefully because they will bill you up to whatever the high end of their quote is, and if you try to reach out they will simply tell you it's your fault because you signed the paper. They won't tell you this at the hospital when you are in distress in the middle of the night, they will simply have you sign a paper and then bill you what they want to bill you. Also, their prices are extremely high. I advise looking up other vet clinics where you can get better care for a reasonable cost and be treated respectfully instead of condescendingly. I brought my 6-month-old puppy here in the middle of the night after she had been bit by a rattlesnake. The first thing they will ask you is if you will sign something agreeing to $895 fee for an IV and then a $1,500 fee if you want the possibility of your dog being resuscitated. They asked these questions in front of my child who was with me, while holding our dog who was actively swelling up from the venom, it felt like a high pressured sales pitch when discussing the life of my dog. They then gave a quote up to $4,500 to give my dog care, care that was not necessary for her situation but they wanted me to sign the form in order to give them the legal right to bill me up to that amount. They will bill you up to 7 days after your service, and they can bill up to whatever amount the high end of the quote is. Please be aware of this. Do not sign anything at the CSU Vet Clinic without thoroughly reading it even if you are exhausted and have been waiting for 4 hours in there emergency room. I had to negotiate my bill before they gave her care down to $1,134 because I could not afford even the low end of the quote they were giving ($2500) let alone the higher amount ($4500). They told me the amount would be $1134, this is the amount I paid at the time of service at 2:00 a.m. Well, I just received another bill in the mail. I called and asked why I was being invoiced when I already paid the bill at the time of service. This is when they decided to let me know that the bill can stay open for 7 days and that I signed something showing a quote up to $1,900 and that they could bill me anything up to that amount. I told them on the phone that this was not explained to me but all they said was, I signed the paper and that's how it was. I told them I didn't feel heard, I told them this didn't seem ethical to take advantage of people in giving quotes for people to sign that range much higher than the amount we are told, so that they can bill us later. The response I got was rude and condescending. I wish I could remember the name of the woman I spoke with the first woman I spoke with was Chris and then I asked to speak with someone else and she was terrible. You will not get care from the employees at this Vet Clinic you will get high pressure sales in your time of need, they will speak down to you, and charge you whatever they want. How very sad that this is a training Hospital. Spend some time training the people in your financial department, spend some time training the people who take your money at the end of service and don't explain that it isn't the full amount, and please get your priorities straight when it comes to how much you charge.

This review is long over due and for the clinical trials oncology team. CSU’s onc team is known for being the best, but these people here are my heroes (plus Lisa who is missing from this photo). After a 4-6 month prognosis for my dogs hemangiosarcoma I never expected we’d see month 9 with clean scans. This hospital offers innovative oncology care and a team who really cares about their patients. From the front desk staff (Elise you’re amazing), to the techs and doctors, thank you for giving me so much more time with my boy then I ever thought I’d have.

Wanted to share our oncology experience. In order to make it easy to understand, I'll break it down: Price: Is it expensive? Um, yeah, 10k in bills so far. Is it any more than any other place? No. Treating cancer is EXPENSIVE... and PRICELESS. Staff: PLEASE understand that interns and residents are doctors. They are NOT "students" or "unlicensed"! Resident Dr. Richartz has been fantastic! Can't say enough about her AND the nurses, students, and staff that supported her (and me). When they suggest a test or treatment it is not to make money - it's to make your beloved pet better. We felt absolutely free to say no. We did turn down a liver lobectomy as we felt it was not in Daisy's best interest at that time; we felt absolutely 100% supported in that decision. We were well-informed at every turn by multiple departments involved in Daisy's care. Communication: Clear, timely, and professional. Always an answer to my questions within 1 business day. Even when my questions were a bit off the wall and panicky. Special thank you to Kylie for her patient handling of my many, many, many emails! Professionalism: Expectations were set properly from day 1 when I was told what to expect from treatment, the cost, the necessary follow up, what the outcome would likely be (they are not psychics, they can't predict the future), and what would be the most likely side effects. Experience: My Daisy was treated like FAMILY. By the doctors, the residents, the nurses, and the staff (see picture). What more could we POSSIBLY ask?

I had already visited our vet and another emergency vet office before going to CSU. The other two offices misdiagnosed my dog, CSU was thorough and recommended a CAT scan, which I do believe saved my dog’s life as we were able to get the appropriate treatment and medication. It’s not cheap, but you get very knowledgeable doctors.
