Do not bring your reactive dogs to this facility. I lost a furry friend that I thought was in proper care to this facility. I was told false information upon how it was a no kill shelter, they lied on the notes upon my dogs euthanasia upon how there was no one calling to claim him. He was incapable of getting shots, but he has a history of getting shots by vets many many times. He was trainable & he was intelligent to know that when being mishandled he would not allow any stranger touch him or give him anything he needed. They were well aware he was a fearful dog, but they discriminated him for an aggressive dog just because they don’t know how to handle proper treatment or care for animals. They wouldn’t give me any information within his appearance of being alive under their care. They made it very simple for me to change my mind about my dog was different than what I raised him to be. I didn’t find out he was dead until ONE MONTH after they euthanized him. All they have against me is a signature that I misread. READ BEFORE SIGNING OWNERS !!! THEY DONT DO THEIR JOB and their procedures are so disorganized and they discriminate any animal with a reactive behavior. My dog bit me once and they didn’t care to keep him longer than a month to observe him. He died 10 days after being surrendered. GOD knows what happened and he will seek justice for my loved one that didn’t need to sleep. I WILL MAKE SURE THIS NEVER HAPPENS TO AN INNOCENT DOG AGAIN & PRAY. If you or you know anyone who’s lost a pet through shelters please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!! We are in this together!! God and I didn’t know this was going to happen. He just knew I was trying to find a better home for him. I was his last owner and I greatly appreciated and will forever treasure every training moment I had with him. My dog was a service dog to be in the future for ptsd survivors. He is now a savior for other animals and people. REMEMBER HIS FACE. My dog isn’t mad at me because he’s at the rainbow bridge waiting for me. If anyone knows who can help me find someone to solve this situation please don’t hesitate to reach out to me through this email! Again they are evil and know what they did was fairly wrong!!

Way better in person as sometimes updates take time to refelect on lone. They are hard to get a hold of at sometimes, they are mad busy! Better to be early before they open as a line has probably already started & see available adaptable bbys. Found my bby there although I feel like they got her age wrong...she doesn't act 12 lol she has been a blessing ✨️ 💕

This place is heavily understaffed. The dogs and the people are wonderful but getting a dog from here is like buying a car. It takes all day. If you plan to adopt and have another pet living with you, please be sure to bring that pet as they will want to do a meet and greet. I had to drive back to my home to grab my pet (I live 40 mins away) and then come back. I ultimately ended up getting the dog I wanted. They only downside is the wait times but outside of that, things were great. We love the new addition to our family. Thank you DAS.

We had a great experience adopting our new dog. They had a great Christmas week special that made it possible for our family. We were impressed by the facility, the friendly, helpful volunteer staff and of course finding the gentle sweetheart we had been looking for.
