Sophie loves it here! She adores the people, they take excellent care of her, and she has made so many canine friends. She literally drags me in the door when we get there because she’s so excited for the fun day ahead. So grateful for Camp Bow Wow Denver Central ♥️

Took my dog for her interview day but we will not be going back. She is a playful lab that gets along with all people and dogs. Within 30 minutes for being there she escaped from the main play area while they were letting a dog in. I watched it on camera and after my dog didn't come back in, I called to see what was going on. I was told my dog was too excited and was in kennel to calm down. It's not her fault she got out and honestly made me nervous that there wasn't a better system for dogs entering and exiting. I continued to watch the cameras and watched the people in the rooms scroll on the their phones and ignore dogs that pawed at them and tried to get attention. My dog was barking at the front gate and there was no attempt to play with her or try to get her to initiate play with other dogs. Seemed like the people working the rooms didn't really even like dogs or want to be there. I picked her up early and was told by one of the women working the rooms that my dog had a blast and played. Not the case nor do I think this woman would have known anyway. This is not our first daycare experience and I can guarantee there are other places that care more about the dogs well being and experience.

So wanted this to be a good experience for both me and my pups. I had my interview today with Shellie at 10am. Just felt so rushed and like I was just bothering her by being there. Was so shocked by this after she had been so helpful the previous day answering all of my questions. I informed her that my dogs needed to eat and she asked if they needed to be separate when eating and I said yes because my little girl will eat all of the food. Also told her I doubt my little boy would eat because I wasn’t there and that was ok. So she told me that they would go into separate cabins at 11am to eat and once they were done they would be put in a cabin together for a nap. We then took my pups into the indoor play area. My little girl is deaf and I asked if I can show everyone a couple of hand signs to communicate with her, she coldly told me “No we have too many dogs and employees to remember all of that.” She must have seen the look on my face and quickly called the employees over for me to show them a couple of signs. How in the world did they plan on communicating with her, especially when I told her how scared she was and had been abused with her previous owner!? Shellie and I went back into the lobby. My pups were scared and crying in the corner. I asked if they could be taken to the outside play area, maybe being outside would be a little easier for them. She said sure thing we just want to give them a little bit. I was watching them on the monitor in the lobby, I turned around and Shellie was gone without saying a word. They finally had stopped crying so I went ahead and left. I really wanted this to go well for them and give them the time to adjust. They have so many good reviews so I just told myself maybe Shellie was having an off day. I sat in my car outside watching the livestream. At 10:32 they took my pups out of the indoor play area and towards the cabins where I could no longer see them. I called to ask why they were being taken to the cabins early and not outside as we had discussed. April answered the phone and told me she was at home not the facility so she wasn’t sure. I then texted Shellie to inquire, she responded 30 mins later ignoring that they got removed from the play area early and said they were doing good, that they ate and were in a cabin together now. Sure it sounds good but I know my dogs and all of the alarms went off for me!!! My little boy is an absolute DIVA there was no way he ate! I have to do the most EVERY time he eats, cheering him on, scratching his back and this is when he is safe at home. There is NO WAY he ate as stressed as he was and with me not being there.!! If Shellie was SO comfortable lying to me about something so small how could I possibly trust her with my two precious pups. Especially after all of the other red flags I previously ignored. I immediately ended the errand I was running and headed back to pick up my babies.! When I arrived a young lady brought out my pups and I simply told her this wasn’t good for us and not going to work out. She asked if there was a specific concern she could share with the manager. I told her Shellie lied to me about them eating and I can’t trust her. The young lady then told me that my boy nibbled on the food a little bit with my little girl. That they had been taken from the play area and immediately put into a cabin together and were given one bowl of food to share. WTH Everything Shellie and I had discussed was completely disregarded and I’m so glad I turned around to pick them up! Who knows what else would’ve happened if I hadn’t. At no point did Shellie (the manager) reach out to me to ask about our early departure. That in itself says enough. Yes I know this is long but I feel it’s important for others to know all of the details before entrusting their precious pups to such an establishment.

My dog absolutely loves day care at Camp Bow Wow of Denver. The staff take such great care of him and always let us know how his day has gone. They go above and beyond to ensure pets are safe, the environment is clean, and the dogs are well monitored.

Took my 2 year old whoodle, Murphy, here and I was impressed with their operation. They really keep a safe dog to employee ratio so it's super safe which was important because Murph hasn't spent a lot of time with big groups of dogs. They do a great job integrating the dogs and it gave me a sense that all the dogs are well cared for. Murphy was a bit nervous but they really do try and make sure the dogs are having fun. The boarding facilities are also far nicer than the facilities at PetsMart. The cages are larger and it's a large and open room so it doesnt feel like the dogs are as confined as they are at PetsMart. It was also nice that they give you the first day camp session for free just in case the dog doesn't dig it. Murphy seemed to enjoy his day of play. It's a great feeling when your pooch comes home happy and sleepy. I spoil my dog, sorry not sorry, and taking him to BowWow gives me solace that I'm treating him to nothing but the best. Highly reccomend them. One thing they could improve is their mobile app. the camp cameras endlessly buffer and are super super buggy. On an actual computer it is fun to check in on the cameras covering all play areas. But don't bother trying to watch the videos on your phone/tablet. Still a 5 star joint though
