I cannot say enough about this practice. One of my dogs was having some issues and my regular vet had no appointments so I made an appointment with Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital. My dog ended up unexpectedly passing away just prior to my appointment so I called to cancel the appointment. The receptionist said that I could bring my dog in to be cremated, and I explained that my husband is currently deployed and I am unable to move a 80-90 lb dog on my own. To my amazement, the receptionist told me that personnel (angels in my opinion) from Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital would come to my house to assist. They did and I am so eternally grateful. I was in shock to find my dog deceased and at a total loss of how to remove him from my house. The women who came were so kind and compassionate. They made a horrible experience the best as possible. I will be giving all of my future vet business to this practice and recommend you do as well as this is a practice that is clearly willing to go above and beyond for its clients. Thank you so much, Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital, and especially the two women who came to my house (I apologize for not even catching your names at the time but I was still in a bit of shock). Please know I will forever appreciate your extreme act of kindness.

I recently took my dog Sky to his first vet appointment since we adopted him from the humane society, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff at the vet clinic were so welcoming and friendly, making Sky feel comfortable and at ease right from the start. The vet was incredibly thorough and took the time to explain everything to me in detail, answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns I had. Sky was a little nervous at first, but the vet and her team were so gentle and patient with him, making the entire visit stress-free for both of us. I was so impressed with the level of care and compassion that Sky received during his appointment. The vet was able to give him a clean bill of health and even provided me with some helpful tips and recommendations for keeping him happy and healthy. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the experience we had at Sky's first vet appointment. I feel confident knowing that he is in good hands and receiving the best possible care. I would highly recommend this vet clinic to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable team to take care of their furry family members. Thank you for a great visit!

So this is a review about my experience with the hospital that spanned various visits during 2021-2022. I was set to move from SD to Australia in 2022 and had the opportunity to take my dog with me. I needed a doctor that had the initial certifications to proceed with the process. This is how I came across Dr. Schexneider. Every visit to her has been a positive experience with my dog Chico. The staff at this hospital were sensitive to his reactivity to other dogs and were very accommodating of his needs. Since the process of importing to Australia is very precise, we were able to work together in scheduling the necessary appointments and to see if my dog was fit for the journey. While the hospital was accommodating to the process of submitting forms and necessary signatures, despite the little wiggle room it allows, it’s still up to the importer (or pet parent in this case) to stay on top of that process. Sometimes the hospital can get busy and you’ll have to check in with them for some follow up questions. Dr. Schexneider was very knowledgeable about the process and was clear about the purpose of every appointment and what would be done to Chico on the scheduled day. My dog got tired of the trips to the vet very quick, but it was the team here that helped make that trip planning process a lot easier. I only wish this hospital was in Australia! Chico is doing well and he’s been loving the plenty of space and sunshine aus has to offer, but most of all- he has been loving his new siblings! I thank the Tierrasanta Veterinary Hospital for helping reunite my family.
