I recently brought my newly adopted cat, Penny, to Center Veterinary Clinic for her first visit. She had some fleas and needed routine lab work to establish a baseline. From the moment we arrived, I was so impressed! The facility is spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They brought Penny and me into a private room right away, which really helped lower her stress. Dr. Boitnott was wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and reassuring throughout the entire visit. The vet techs, especially Sayaka, were amazing with Penny. They handled her so gently and made me feel completely comfortable with the care she was receiving. You can tell everyone there truly loves animals. I’m so happy to have found such a great clinic and feel confident establishing them as Penny’s regular vet. I highly recommend Center Veterinary Clinic to anyone in the Mira Mesa area looking for a clean, compassionate, and professional veterinary team!

We bring our three furbabies here for their main vet needs and we wouldn’t want to go anyplace else. Everyone is pleasant, our visits aren’t rushed and we feel like our pups are in great hands. We recently lost our precious bullmastiff, Sasha, and I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for your exceptional care with her. She always loved her visits, even when she wasn’t feeling well. She was always excited to see all of her friends at Center Vet and everyone always treated her with love and kindness, and that means so much to me and my husband. Before Sasha passed, we did a picture with Santa here and it’s something we will treasure forever. We also recently received a card saying a tree will be planted at Lassen National Forest in her memory, which is so meaningful and sweet. Thank you so much for your wonderful care.

First time here and it will be my last. I brought my cat in (he's itchy) and the vet prescribed blood work, flea meds, and steroids to help alleviate the itching. I told the front desk lady that I wanted to only treat him with the steroids and flea medication, and they told me they require blood work before administering steroids. That made sense to me, so I agreed to the blood work and steroids. They added an extra $100+ for a urine test that I didn't agree to. The vet didn't discuss urine testing with me either, so I was confused. The front desk lady just assumed I wanted it and told the people in the back to do it along with the blood work; by the time I paid they had "already done it" and "it'd be more expensive to just charge for the blood work anyway"-- I didn't say anything and paid the full amount, but looking back at the situation I feel like I was scammed. They then bring me the steroid medication and tell me the blood work results will be available in a week -- I thought they needed blood work before administering the medication? In short, I just wanted the steroid medication and they ended up charging me an extra $280 for tests to get the medication. The 'required' blood work results won't be available until after my cat is done with the course of meds, so is it really a requirement as a safety protocol, or is it just a means to profit? Dr. Brittany was thorough and very kind. However, this experience with the payment tainted my experience and I feel used.

We had a really great experience at Center Veterinary Clinic & Urgent Care in Mira Mesa. We first came here back in 2023 for the same issue with our cat, Milo, so when his eye became very swollen again, we knew we wanted to return because we trusted their care. Our appointment was originally scheduled for 5:00 PM, but I called to ask if we could be seen earlier since I got out of work sooner than expected. They were very accommodating and got us in without any problem. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we were seen very quickly. The environment inside the clinic was also excellent. The space was very clean, welcoming, and well kept. They even offered complimentary coffee while we waited, and we noticed they had a small selection of pet items available for purchase, which was a nice touch. Dr. Matthew Bigelow took care of Milo and was wonderful. He handled our cat very gently, answered all of our questions, and clearly explained the possible causes and treatment plan so we felt reassured and informed. The visit and treatment were also fairly affordable in our opinion, which we really appreciated. From start to finish, everyone treated us with kindness and professionalism, and checkout was smooth and easy. We will absolutely continue coming here and highly recommend them to other pet owners.

This is the best vet clinic we have ever been too! The vet techs, front desk and dr were all exceptional. We took our dog in at 6 pm to get checked for her swollen eye and allergies and the care team blew our minds with their treatment of our sweet dog! Our dog is reactive and they catered to that wonderfully for what could have been a bad experience. We walked out of there with a treatment plan, a very happy dog, and great care from the team at Center Vet! Thank you all again for taking care of our sweet old senior!
