After our 2 year old cat, Pickle, unexpectedly broke off one of his upper canine teeth, we took him to a local vet. The vet immediately referred us to Pacific Coast and we were able to book an appointment very quickly. From first speaking with the front office staff, to our consultation with Dr. Panella, it was clear that Pickle was going to be given expert care. Dr. Panella covered all of the potential price-ranges for Pickle’s treatment and explained in detail what was causing his dental problems, and what we can do as pet owners to prevent further tooth-decay. The surgery went very well and Pickle is recovering comfortably as I write this review. My Fiancé and I owe a big thank you to Dr. Panella and the rest of the staff at Pacific Coast for taking such good care of our beloved cat and will undoubtedly be returning for any future dental care Pickle might need.

I recently reached out to this clinic to inquire about comprehensive dental services for my pets, but the initial experience was poor enough to deter me from moving forward. It is truly baffling when a clinic’s front-of-house staff does not reflect the standard of care one would expect in this industry. The receptionist’s demeanor was notably dismissive and unprofessional, and the response times were significantly delayed. Can you imagine how they would treat your fur babies if this is how the staff acts with potential clients? While I was prepared to invest upwards of $6,000 in dental treatments at this location, the lack of basic courtesy and the inexplicably inflated pricing made it an easy decision to take my business elsewhere. First impressions are vital in pet care, and the gatekeeping at this front desk is a major red flag for anyone looking for a professional and welcoming environment. I have since taken my pets to a different facility where I had an amazing experience and received the high level of service I was looking for.

I’m really not the type of person who leaves reviews often, but I honestly couldn’t keep quiet about the care we received here. From the moment I walked through the door, the experience was just outstanding. My cat is, to put it mildly, very defensive and not the easiest patient, but the team was so patient, kind, and professional with her. Dr. Panella and the entire staff handled everything flawlessly, from the initial consultation through the procedure and the aftercare brief. It’s rare to find an office that is this high-level while still being genuinely understanding. I really can’t speak highly enough of them. Thank you so much for taking care of Ikora and her root canal today!

Our poor Sophie got into a scuffle with our dog and broke her jaw in a rather complex/unfortunate way. We went to two emergency vets who weren’t specialized enough to fix it adequately when we finally got a referral to Pacific Coast Vet and I’m so glad we did! Dr. Li was so great- very knowledgeable and gentle. He took his time explaining treatment options and landed on one that got Sophie to the best healing possible. 10 weeks later and she’s back to eating normally, being her happy self, and I am so relieved! The office staff is so helpful and nice, I’m really grateful we live close by to such a wonderful office. I’ve never met such a caring staff. Every time we went, our cat curled up on the table as Dr. Li examined her, she was very comfortable and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this specialty vet, I will be forever grateful to them for the great care they took of Sophie! ❤️
